God’s Timing

There are times in your life when God plants a seed in your heart and mind of something that He is going to do in and through you. It may be there for a week, a month, a year, or even years before God moves you into action. It may not be for that particular day, but it was planted there and meant to grow and bear fruit at a later date. I have known this to be true in my life over, and over again.

This blog for instance; I was sure God put it on my heart to do this just shy of 2 years ago. I knew I was supposed to write a blog and was feeling guilty many times that I hadn’t started it yet. I had even announced it to my church family at a bi-yearly Town Hall Meeting. Why wasn’t I doing what I knew God was calling me to do?

Well in God’s plan timing is everything. Each time I thought about writing it there just wasn’t time or a complete desire to carry it out. So many other things were happening that were actually preparing me for this day in which I would actually get down to it.

Today I had other plans that fell through, and I thought as I was driving home from dropping Kalea off at school, “This is the day that I start writing the blog.” I have never had that thought before! Before it was always, “Ok, I know I am needing to do this, but when, and who will my audience be?”

God’s timing? Yes, I believe it is! God works in mysterious ways! If there is one thing I have learned in my life it is that “God’s Timing” is always perfect.

My audience became apparent a while back and I knew I would need to write to our children, Marc’s and mine. So, Our Children, these blogs are written with you in mind. Holy Spirit has been preparing me to write this blog for almost two years and I trust that maybe in that time He has also been preparing your hearts to receive it.

What seed has God planted in your life that you need to begin watering, giving it light, and allowing it to grow and bear fruit? Is it time? He wants to do amazing things in and through you and use you to touch the lives of others. Will you let Him bring that seed to life and increase its yield? Trust Him and watch it grow and bear much fruit for His glory!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-11

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens:

A time to be born and a time to die, A time to plant and a time to uproot,

A time to kill and a time to heal, A time to tear down and a time to build,

A time to weep and a time to laugh, A time to mourn and a time to dance,

A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them, A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing,

A time to search and a time to give up, A time to keep and a time to throw away,

A time to tear and a time to mend, A time to be silent and a time to speak.,

A time to love and a time to hate, A time for war and a time for peace.

What do workers gain from their toil? I have seen the burden God has laid on the human race. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
